A couple of months ago the our old domain name (themarketingguy.net) had expired and we never renewed it. We never reviewed it because of a couple of reasons. The first reason was because our old domain name contained ‘the’ which is a stop word. A stop word is a word that is commonly used and is automatically programmed to be removed because it is so common.
Having a .co end prefix on our domain name would also hopefully help us to rank higher in search engines. This is because a .co domain name is usually more popular than a .net domain name.
We have since updated the domain name to http://www.marketingguy.co which we think is a easier to remember domain name.
We will continue to publish content about business, marketing, productivity, time management and self development.
